High-Quality Medical Resources "Zero Distance" | "Mother River • Cancer Prevention Public Welfare Project - Experts Grassroots Tour" Successfully Held at Ningxian Second People's Hospital
To further promote the high-quality development of cancer prevention and treatment in Gansu Province, facilitate the extension of high-level medical technology resources to grassroots levels, and enhance the capacity of grassroots cancer diagnosis and treatment services, the "Mother River • Cancer Prevention Public Welfare Project - Experts Grassroots Tour" was successfully held at Ningxian Second People's Hospital on December 19. The event was organized by the Bethune Public Welfare Foundation and co-hosted by the Lanzhou Heavy Ion Center of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital and Ningxian Second People's Hospital.

Attendees included Gou Qingchuan, Deputy Director of the Ningxian Health Bureau; Li Junhai, President of Ningxian Second People's Hospital; Professor Zheng Yaogang and Professor Zhao Rui from Ningxian Second People's Hospital; Wang Junjie, Chairman of the Radiation Oncology Committee of the Chinese Medical Association, Director of the Radiotherapy Committee of the Bethune Public Welfare Foundation, Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at Peking University Third Hospital, and President of the Lanzhou Heavy Ion Center of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital; Qu Ang, Jiang Yuliang, and Tian Suqing from Peking University Third Hospital; Yin Le, Director of the Project Development Department of the Bethune Public Welfare Foundation; as well as medical representatives from the Lanzhou Heavy Ion Center of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital, including Professors Li Xiaojun, Zhao Fengju, Zhang Yingdong, and Ma Changying.

The event featured free medical consultations, academic exchanges, and a signing and unveiling ceremony. National-level experts provided "face-to-face" diagnosis and treatment and "hands-on" teaching, enabling local residents to access high-quality medical services right at their doorstep. This initiative not only effectively improved grassroots diagnostic and treatment capabilities but also genuinely met the medical needs of patients.

As a highlight of the event, the inauguration ceremony of the "Expert Consultation Center of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital Lanzhou Heavy Ion Center and Ning County Second Hospital" marked a significant step forward. It enables cancer patients to receive remote consultations and treatment guidance from top experts of the Gansu Wuwei Tumor Hospital Lanzhou Heavy Ion Center without the need to travel far, bringing the benefits of this "powerful cancer treatment tool" to patients right at their doorstep.
