‌Three Years of Forging Great Love, United in Pursuit of a New Dream Voyage: Ion Radiotherapy Frontier Technology and Equipment Summit Forum and 2023 Seminar on New Progress in Modern Tumor Particle Therapy Techniques, as well as the Third Anniversary Forum of the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center, Successfully Held at Our Hospital‌.

On March 26th, the "Ion Radiotherapy Frontier Technology and Equipment Summit Forum and 2023 Seminar on New Progress in Modern Tumor Particle Therapy Techniques (Wuwei Station), as well as the Third Anniversary Forum of the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center" was grandly held at the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center. The event was jointly hosted by the Ion Radiotherapy Branch of the China Medical Equipment Association, the Radiotherapy Equipment Technology Branch of the China Medical Equipment Association, and the Precision Radiotherapy Technology Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering. It was co-organized by Gansu Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (Gansu Cancer Hospital), Wuwei Cancer Hospital, Wuwei Medical Scientific Research Institute, and Gansu Heavy Ion Hospital.

At the opening ceremony,HOUyan, the chairman of the China Medical Equipment Association, Shen Wenjiang, the lifelong honorary professor of Peking University Health Science Center, Wang Junjie, the chairman of the Chinese Medical Association Oncology Radiotherapy Branch, Qiu Jie, the secretary-general of the Radiotherapy Equipment and Technology Branch of the China Medical Equipment Association, Ren Yimin, the chief expert of the陇台 Two Shores Precision Radiotherapy Demonstration Base, Wang Junxian, the president of the Wuwei Medical Association, and Ye Yancheng, the president of Gansu Wuwei Medical Scientific Research Institute Cancer Hospital, delivered speeches respectively. Over 500 experts from home and abroad participated in the forum online and offline.

During the forum, PTCOG senior expert Professor Hirohiko Tsuji, Professor Tatsuaki Kanai from the Osaka Heavy Ion Center, Professor Jörg Hauffe from the Munich Proton Therapy Center in Germany, and Professor Lang Jinyi from Sichuan Cancer Hospital delivered online speeches. Wang Junjie, the chairman of the Chinese Medical Association Oncology Radiotherapy Branch and professor at Peking University Third Hospital, Professor Chen Ming from Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, Chief Physicist Wu Jiaming from Taiwan Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Professor Cheng Jinsheng from the National Institute for Radiological Protection, Professor Yan Yuan from the China Institute of Atomic Energy, Chief Physicist Li Dan from Yizhou International Proton Tumor Hospital, Chief Physician Wu Kailiang from Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Hospital, Professor Huang Xiaoyan from Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, Ye Yancheng, the second-level chief physician (pharmacist) and Zhang Yanshan, the chief physician from Wuwei Medical Scientific Research Institute Cancer Hospital, and other experts focused on ion radiotherapy equipment technology innovation, industrial development, and clinical application. They interpreted relevant policies, discussed development trends, showcased the latest technologies, exchanged ideas on discipline construction, shared work experiences, promoted the safe and effective application of ion radiotherapy equipment, and drove the high-quality development of the ion radiotherapy industry.
