Under the guidance of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital has proactively responded to the national call for aging-care initiatives by establishing the “Bulaosong” Health Management Center. Located at 7 West Ring Road, Liangzhou District, the center occupies the first and second floors of the former Hepatology Clinic in the South Campus Cardiovascular Center of Wuwei Cancer Hospital. Spanning 1,500 square meters, the facility officially commenced operations on June 18, 2024. Guided by the core philosophy of “Dedicated Service, Guardians of Health,” the center is committed to providing free, comprehensive care for individuals aged 60 and above, including health consultations, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapies, oxygen therapy, and other tailored services.

The ground floor houses functional zones such as health consultation rooms, screening suites, thermotherapy areas, and massage studios, while the upper floor features health education classrooms, an oxygen therapy center, and advanced thermotherapy facilities. Equipped with 30 state-of-the-art rehabilitation devices—including specific electromagnetic wave therapy systems, infrared lamps, thermal salt blankets, moxibustion mats, jade beds, massage beds, and medical-grade oxygen concentrators—the center offers a blend of traditional and modern therapies such as TCM moxibustion, thermal compresses, therapeutic massage, phototherapy, and magnetotherapy. A professional and experienced medical team ensures the delivery of high-quality, personalized health management services to all elderly visitors.

Notably, the “Bulaosong” Center operates on a free membership system exclusively for Wuwei residents aged 60 and older. Members may receive daily complimentary therapy sessions based on therapists’ assessments, with unlimited access to services. Additionally, a health and cultural innovation exhibition area showcases diverse wellness products and creative cultural items, allowing seniors to immerse themselves in both health and cultural enrichment during their visits.

Beyond addressing the growing demand for multi-tiered, high-quality elderly care, the center treats every member as family, offering unwavering compassion and respect. It aspires to become a “model hub for elderly care, a beacon of social harmony, a sanctuary for seniors, and a bridge for intergenerational solidarity,” where older adults can access warm, professional health services in an inclusive environment. Through this initiative, the center embodies China’s vision of fostering an age-friendly society, ensuring dignity and well-being for all in their golden years.
