Warm Hearts for Gansu: Beijing Gansu Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Donates Smart Rehabilitation Equipment to Wuwei Heavy-Ion Center

Recently, showing deep concern for the development of hometown medical services, the Beijing Gansu Enterprise Chamber of Commerce donated two "Goodwill Quantum Far-Infrared Energy Chambers" to the Wuwei Heavy-Ion Center, part of the Gansu Provincial Wuwei Tumor Hospital. This action practically supports the high-quality development of China's domestic heavy-ion medical technology.

The core technology of the donated kinetic wave quantum chamber integrates five major advantages: far-infrared rays, quantum technology, biological magnetic fields, vibrational massage, and high concentrations of negative ions. It aims for "cellular-level maintenance"—using extremely high-frequency energy waves to penetrate deep into the cell nucleus, relying on the principle of pulse resonance to expel waste and toxins from cells, followed by deep purification through sweat glands, pores, and the excretory system, ultimately aiming to improve microcirculation within the body's meridians and stimulate the body's self-healing potential. Meanwhile, the device adopts an ergonomic cabin structure with a brown main body and sleek, technological lines, ensuring user comfort and energy transmission efficiency while showcasing the quality of professional medical equipment. It is expected to provide new assistance for patients during their rehabilitation and physiotherapy at the center.

As the clinical application base for China's first domestically developed heavy-ion therapy system, the Wuwei Heavy-Ion Center has brought hope to nearly 2,300 cancer patients since it became operational in 2020. Its remarkable achievements, summarized as "eight domestic and international firsts," clearly demonstrate China's leading position in this field globally: it is the only hospital in the world operating two heavy-ion therapy systems, and by also managing the Lanzhou Heavy-Ion Center, it has formed a "twin-center synergy," greatly expanding its technical capacity and reach; it leads globally in the number of single-fraction treatments completed within one day, significantly shortening treatment cycles and reducing the physical and mental burden on patients; it pioneered several advanced techniques including precision therapy under respiratory ventilator control, bladder cancer treatment under precise bladder volume control, and single-session treatment using surgically placed isolation spacers, with each breakthrough opening new avenues of hope for patients with complex conditions; it developed China's first 360-degree rotating and lifting ion radiotherapy chair, providing hardware support for precise treatment; and it is also the first in the world to have performed heavy-ion therapy for multiple cases of cardiac tumors and to implement a "treatment + whole-lifecycle physical and mental health management" model, leading industry trends from technology to service.

Today, the clinical capabilities of the Wuwei Heavy-Ion Center have achieved a qualitative leap: the range of treatable diseases has expanded from 7 types during the 2018 trial period to over 50 types, with standardized diagnostic and treatment protocols developed for each disease tailored to the characteristics of Chinese patients. The annual number of treated cases has increased from 200 to nearly 1,000, with an average annual growth rate of 17.5%, and both treatment efficiency and efficacy have reached internationally advanced levels. The international recognition and standard-setting influence of China's heavy-ion technology continue to rise, securing an important place for the "Chinese approach" in the global field of cancer therapy.

This heartfelt donation not only adds "smart tools" to the center's rehabilitation and physiotherapy efforts but also reflects the support and trust from various sectors of society for China's domestic heavy-ion medical enterprise. In the future, the Wuwei Heavy-Ion Center will continue to focus on "precision therapy + whole-cycle rehabilitation," combining cutting-edge treatment technology with high-quality rehabilitation services. This aims to help more cancer patients achieve both physical and psychological recovery under the guard of technology and the care of compassion, thereby contributing to the ongoing development of the "Chinese approach" to cancer treatment.
