Our Hospital Successfully Conducted Training on the 2025 New Edition of the "Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Law" and Reporting and Handling of Public Health Emergencies
To further enhance medical staff's understanding of laws and regulations on communicable disease prevention and control, as well as their emergency response capabilities for public health emergencies, on the afternoon of September 18, our hospital successfully conducted the "Training on the 2025 New Edition of the 'Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Law' and Reporting and Handling of Public Health Emergencies" in Conference Room 1 of the Heavy Ion Campus. The training invited an expert team from the Wuwei Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Wuwei Municipal Health Inspection Institute) to deliver lectures. All hospital staff (including clinical, medical technical, nursing, public health, administrative, and logistics personnel) participated in the training.

The training session was presided over by Vice President Ye Kui of our hospital. In his opening remarks, he stated that the implementation of the new edition of the "Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Law" marks a new stage of legalization and scientification in China's communicable disease prevention and control efforts. Mastering the content of the new law and standardizing reporting procedures are the responsibility and mission of every medical worker.

The first lecture was delivered by Section Chief Wang Jianxun from the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Department of the Municipal CDC. He focused on the "Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China (2025 Edition)," which officially came into effect on September 1, 2025, providing a systematic interpretation from aspects such as the revision background, major changes, legal application, and practical operations, helping attendees accurately grasp the core requirements of the new law.

The second lecture was given by Comrade Li Xiumei, head of the Emergency Response Department of the Municipal CDC, on the topic of "Reporting and Handling of Public Health Emergencies." Drawing on years of practical experience, she detailed the standard procedures for incident reporting, time requirements, and key points of handling, emphasizing the importance of "early detection, early reporting, and early handling."

The third lecture was shared by Director Li Zhengguo from the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of our hospital on "Tuberculosis Diagnostic Criteria and the Detection and Reporting of Tuberculosis Patients." Through analysis of typical cases, he introduced the diagnostic criteria, reporting protocols, and clinical considerations for tuberculosis in an accessible manner, enhancing participants' awareness and capabilities in tuberculosis prevention and control.

The entire training was systematic and comprehensive, with a clear focus. The on-site interaction was active, and the learning atmosphere was enthusiastic. This training closely integrated with practical work not only strengthened the understanding of the legal provisions of the new edition of the "Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Law" but also enhanced the awareness of prevention and control in accordance with the law. At the same time, through in-depth learning of the reporting and handling procedures for public health emergencies, it further improved the ability to respond quickly and handle situations standardizedly in practical work, providing solid support for more precise and efficient communicable disease prevention and control and emergency response efforts in the future.

Our hospital will continue to conduct such targeted professional training, continuously strengthen medical staff's awareness of practicing in accordance with the law and standardized operations, effectively enhance the practical response level to public health emergencies, strive to build a strong public health security defense line, and make active contributions to safeguarding the health and safety of the people and maintaining overall social stability.
