Professor Yasuo Yoshioka is a Japanese brachytherapy specialist and radiation oncologist with expertise in prostate cancer radiotherapy, including high-dose-rate (HDR) and low-dose-rate (LDR) brachytherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). As an HDR brachytherapy authority, he reported the world's first clinical experience of HDR monotherapy for prostate cancer.
