2nd Hematologic Malignancy Standardized Care Training Successfully Held at Wuwei Heavy Ion Center

On August 15, the Second Hematologic Malignancy Standardized Care Training Program, organized by the Beijing Pharmacists Association and the Beijing Society of Integrative Medicine, and hosted by Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital, was successfully held at the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center campus. Experts and clinical leaders in hematology, oncology, and nursing from across the province and beyond gathered in Wuwei to focus on the clinical standardization of hematologic malignancies, delivering specialized lectures and engaging in in‑depth academic discussions — injecting new academic momentum into the enhancement of hematology care in the Hexi region.

The conference was chaired by Xi Yaming, Cui Jie, and Liu Yao, with Wang Cong serving as Executive Chair. During the opening ceremony, Nie Peng, Vice President of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital, along with the conference chairs, delivered speeches. They noted that while diagnostic and treatment technologies for hematologic malignancies are advancing rapidly — with new therapies such as targeted therapy and cellular immunotherapy emerging — there remain regional disparities in clinical practice. This training program, grounded in the clinical realities of the Hexi region, aims to establish a high‑level academic exchange platform, introduce cutting‑edge clinical concepts, unify clinical approaches, and effectively enhance the standardized diagnosis and treatment capabilities for hematologic malignancies in the local and surrounding areas.

It covered a broad range of core topics, including aplastic anemia, allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, chronic myeloid leukemia, CAR‑T therapy for multiple myeloma, differential diagnosis of lymphoma, central nervous system lymphoma, CAR‑T therapy in special populations, bleeding and coagulation disorders, and infection management in hematologic diseases. Drawing on the latest national guidelines and real‑world clinical cases, the expert speakers addressed disease diagnosis, treatment selection, whole‑course management, complication prevention and control, and specialized nursing care — translating cutting‑edge research findings into actionable clinical experience.
