【Rule of Law Safeguards • Advancing Medical Practice】 Continuously advancing legal training to strengthen the legal safeguards for medical safety
To thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, enhance our hospital medical staff's political, ideological, and operational commitment to advancing the rule of law, and improve their legal literacy and capacity for practicing in accordance with the law, the hospital organized the second training session to enhance medical staff's legal literacy on October 31, in accordance with the hospital's annual legal work plan and legal training requirements. Over 70 medical staff from the hospital participated in this training.

Strictly adhering to the working principle of "prioritizing legal education in professional training," this session was titled Informed Consent: The Cornerstone and Legal Baseline of Medical Safety. It closely addressed the core demands of legal construction in the healthcare industry, combining practical clinical operations to provide in-depth explanations on key aspects such as medical institutions' obligation to inform and patients' right to informed consent. During the training, Lawyer Qiu Rui utilized methods such as big data analysis, fundamental concepts, and practical case studies to translate abstract legal provisions into concrete guidance relevant to medical practice. He focused on outlining various legal risk points and precautions for medical staff in the process of obtaining informed consent, clarifying their rights and responsibilities, and guiding them towards conducting this process more standardly and reasonably.

The training content was closely aligned with clinical practical needs, being both practical and instructive. It not only deepened the medical staff's understanding of medical-related laws and regulations but also tangibly enhanced their ability to use rule-of-law thinking to solve practical problems, laying a solid legal foundation for standardizing subsequent professional diagnosis and treatment work in oncology. The "Rule of Law Safeguards • Advancing Medical Practice" series of legal training sessions is a key initiative of our hospital for implementing higher-level legal construction requirements and promoting hospital administration according to law. In the future, the hospital will continue to promote the deep integration of legal training with various professional training programs, comprehensively covering all scenarios including education and training for cadres and staff, pre-job training for new employees, induction training for newly appointed middle-level cadres, and specialized training for medical personnel. This aims to make legal education a "mandatory course" in the growth process of medical staff, continuously improve the standardization level of lawful practice across the hospital, and build a strong legal barrier for the high-quality development of the hospital.
