Wuwei "Heavy Ion +" Incubates New Specialty Products, Adding Another Masterpiece

Recently, Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital (Wuwei Medical Science Academy) has incubated another new specialty product through "Heavy Ion +"—a desert Cistanche essence oral liquid (plant-based beverage). This is another upgraded product following the successful development of the desert Cistanche plant-based beverage last year, and it represents another achievement of "Heavy Ion +" in driving local industrial development.

Desert Cistanche is a sandy plant that parasitizes the roots of saxaul forests and is known as the "ginseng of the desert." After the state included it in the medicinal and edible homologous directory in 2023, the Heavy Ion Science and Technology Industrial Park of Wuwei Cancer Hospital recognized the development potential of desert Cistanche in pharmaceuticals, food, and the health industry. In collaboration with Gansu Jinzhanhua Biotechnology Co., Ltd., they adopted the "Heavy Ion +" approach to incubate and develop the emerging Cistanche industry. After more than a year of scientific and technological efforts, the two parties successfully resolved the challenges of desert Cistanche being prone to oxidation and hydrolysis in natural environments, maximizing the retention and extraction of active components in Cistanche. As a result, the "Heavy Ion +" developed Cistanche series products stand out uniquely in the industry.

Currently, Wuwei Cancer Hospital has developed desert Cistanche plant-based beverages and desert Cistanche essence oral liquid through the "Heavy Ion +" approach. In the future, they will continue to launch related series of products, persistently incubate and cultivate the Cistanche specialty industry, and further solidify the industrial foundation of the heavy ion growth pole.
