In the fruitful golden autumn of October, on the 18th, Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital (Wuwei Medical Science Academy) grandly held the inauguration ceremony for three major projects at the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center: the completion and operational launch of the "Gansu Provincial Model Worker (Employee) Health and Recuperation Base," the "China Heavy Ion Wellness Town as a 3A-Level Scenic Spot," and the opening of the "Dongli Pastoral Cultural Therapy Pavilion." The ceremony, chaired by Ren Baolong, Chairman of the Hospital Trade Union, was witnessed by leaders including Kang Jinlian, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Wuwei Municipal Trade Union Council, Qiu Jinjun, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Municipal Health Commission, Liu Yingbo, Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television, and Tourism, specially appointed expert Liu Xinnian for the Dongli Pavilion, 15 model workers and advanced workers representatives like Wang Lijuan, and the hospital's leadership team. At the ceremony, President Ye Yancheng of Gansu Wuwei Tumor Hospital detailed the construction philosophy and core functions of the three projects. As significant practices of the hospital's mission to "pool global cutting-edge technologies to benefit cancer patients worldwide", these projects are deeply integrated into Wuwei City's high-quality development strategy framework and represent a breakthrough through innovation initiatives.
The "Gansu Provincial Model Worker (Employee) Health and Recuperation Base" is tailored for employees, providing professional physical and mental conditioning services. The "China Heavy Ion Wellness Town," leveraging its 3,000-acre ecological advantage as a "natural oxygen bar," has established a comprehensive, full-lifecycle health management system featuring heavy ion tumor therapy, rehabilitation, cellular bio-immunotherapy, and pastoral therapy, achieving deep integration of medical wellness and ecological tourism . The highlight is the 15,000-square-meter "Dongli Pastoral Cultural Therapy Pavilion," which employs an innovative "medicine + culture" healing model. It showcases the journey of China's healthcare cause and houses over 15,000 artifacts, creating an immersive experience that helps patients reduce stress and enhance psychological resilience through its "human-nature symbiosis" design. Together, these projects support the hospital's full-lifecycle health service system covering "prevention-treatment-rehabilitation-recuperation" .
