About the Department:
The Radiation Therapy Department of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital was established in February 1990. After over thirty years of development, it has evolved into a comprehensive radiation oncology team integrating scientific management, advanced technology, state-of-the-art equipment, and quality service. It was designated as a Provincial Key Discipline of Gansu in 2019 and received the Outstanding Physician Team of Gansu Award in 2020.

As the core leader of the team, Director Chen Weizuo (Associate Chief Physician, Master of Oncology) possesses extensive clinical experience and a robust academic background. He has conducted research at prestigious institutions including Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center, Peking University Third Hospital, and Sichuan Cancer Hospital. He specializes in radiotherapy and comprehensive treatment for abdominopelvic tumors, with particular expertise in advanced radiotherapy technologies such as heavy-ion therapy and stereotactic radiotherapy 79.
