--A Chronicle of Our Hospital's Celebration of the 114th "5 ·12" International Nurses Day and Commendation Ceremony
As spring’s hues, May Arrives in Full Splendor, Bidding farewell to April’s blossoms of peach and plum, we welcome the vibrant early summer of May—just in time for the 114th "5 ·12" International Nurses Day. On the afternoon of May 9th, a grand celebration and awards ceremony was held at the Gymnasium of the Health Management Center of the hospital’s Heavy Ion Medical Campus, under the theme "Supporting Our Nurses, Safeguarding Public Health".



Highlights from the Celebration

Distinguished hospital leaders in attendance at the celebration included: the Secretary of Party Committee Zhang Weihong, President Ye Yancheng, Vice Presidents Zhang Yanshan and Ye Kui, Vice-Chairman of Trade Union Ren Baolong, Zhao Guangyuan(The assistant of president) and Zhang Zhenshuai. The commendation ceremony was presided over by Vice President Nie Peng.

First, President Ye Yanchang delivered the opening speech, extending the warmest greetings and highest respect to all nursing staff on behalf of the hospital’s Party Committee and leadership. He highly commended the outstanding contributions of the nursing team to the hospital’s work and encouraged everyone to rise to challenges and forge ahead with determination. At the same time, he urged fellow nursing professionals to thoroughly implement the hospital’s motto of “Universal Love, Harmony, and Health” and the nursing philosophy of “People-Oriented, Dedicated Service, Sincere Care, and Safeguarding Well-Being” in their daily work. He emphasized keeping pace with the hospital’s high-quality development, comprehensively enhancing professional skills and service standards, continuously strengthening the nursing team, enriching the depth of nursing expertise, and building a premium nursing service brand. By gradually aligning with international standards and optimizing patient experiences, he called for dedicated efforts to provide the public with even more efficient and high-quality nursing services.

During the solemn and sacred cap-pinning ceremony, 10 senior nurses including Nursing Department Director Guo Yumei, Chief Medical Nurse Zhou Ziying, and Special Unit Head Nurse Chu Xiaoxia placed the sacred nurses' caps on 20 newly recruited nurse representatives. Cardiology Head Nurse Wan Xueliang then led all nurses in taking the Nightingale Pledge. Bathed in candlelight, veteran and new nurses shared this spiritual moment, their resounding vows carrying forward the nursing legacy of "eyes shining with compassion, hearts filled with love, and hands radiating warmth."

Following the awards ceremony, the venue erupted with energy as entertaining games like "Team Tower Building", "Shuttlecock Relay", and "Loop Challenge" got underway. Hospital leaders and nursing staff teamed up in perfect sync, tackling each challenge amid constant laughter and cheers, creating an electrifying atmosphere.










As the event drew to a close, the appearance of a celebration cake brought the atmosphere to another climax. Hospital leaders lit the candles and cut the cake for the attendees. The sweet cake and flickering candles conveyed heartfelt blessings and deep care for all nurses, while the nursing staff savored happiness and joy through this delicious treat.


"What a splendid feast we held today—joy beyond all words to convey!" The celebration concluded with warmth and reluctant farewells, yet our mission continues with unyielding dedication. Seizing this event as a new starting point, our hospital's nursing team will uphold excellence while innovating fearlessly, forging ahead to write new chapters in the hospital's high-quality development journey. Together, we shall redouble our efforts to safeguard the people's health with even greater commitment!
