Gansu Wuwei Heavy Ion Center Marks 5th Anniversary with 1,828 Patients Treated
In March 2025, the Gansu Wuwei Heavy Ion Center marked its fifth anniversary of clinical operation. Since commencing treatments in March 2020, the center has provided therapy to 1,828 patients, covering over 40 disease types including lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, and glioblastoma.

Development Milestones
· May 2012: Construction of the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center began.
· September 29, 2019: Obtained the Registration Certificate for the heavy ion therapy system.
· November 29, 2019: Secured the Configuration License for the heavy ion radiotherapy system.
· March 2020: Officially commenced clinical operations.
· July 2021: Expanded to four treatment rooms (originally having two rooms and now with two new additions).
· May 28, 2023: Held the inauguration ceremony for the new heavy ion campus.
· August 2024: Completed NMPA registration for Treatment Rooms 3 and 4.
· September 2024: Treatment Rooms 3 and 4 officially entered clinical operation.
