On August 15, the launch ceremony for the "Tianxuan Star An'an" — the second character in the An'an Big Dipper Guardian Star Cluster — was grandly held at the Dongli Hotel in the China Heavy Ion Health and Wellness Town. This follows the debut of the first character, "Tianshu Star An'an," in January 2026. The complete Guardian Star Cluster consists of seven guardian mascots, with the remaining characters to be released quarterly.

"An'an" carries two layers of heartfelt meaning: it expresses the wish for patients' safety and recovery, and it symbolizes the precision and safety of heavy ion therapy — administered with care and control. Inspired by the imagery of the Big Dipper in traditional Chinese culture, the An'an Guardian Star Cluster features seven auspicious mascots, each with its own unique symbolic meaning:

The newly unveiled "Tianxuan Star An'an," the second character in the series, continues the core mission of safeguarding health and well‑being. Its design draws from traditional Chinese celestial culture, seamlessly blending the essence of cutting‑edge heavy ion technology with the humanistic warmth of the doctor‑patient relationship. Rooted in local cultural heritage, the "An'an Guardian Star Cluster" embodies a distinctly Chinese sense of romance and guardianship, creating a richly meaningful, domestically produced original medical and cultural IP.

As the birthplace of China's domestically produced heavy ion technology and the only hospital in the world operating two heavy ion therapy systems simultaneously, we have established an integrated dual‑center framework linking Wuwei and Lanzhou.
