On August 8, the Gastric Cancer Radiotherapy Symposium and the Advanced Radiotherapy Nursing Techniques and Practice Conference, organized by the First Department of Radiotherapy at Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital, were held simultaneously in Conference Room 8 of the Heavy Ion Main Building. The meetings were grounded in clinical practice, addressing both technological innovation in tumor radiotherapy and the development of specialized nursing capabilities. Participants engaged in in‑depth discussions on the latest advances in gastric cancer radiotherapy, management of complex cases, and strategies for improving nursing quality. Through mutual learning and exchange, the sessions broadened diagnostic and treatment perspectives and laid a solid foundation for further enhancing the overall standard of regional tumor radiotherapy services.

Professor Zhang Yanshan from Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital, drawing on the hospital's disciplinary strengths, presented "Exploration of Heavy Ion Therapy for Gastric Cancer," systematically outlining the clinical value of heavy ion therapy in the field of gastric cancer.
