Presiding Experts

As the host institution of this symposium, the Department of Gastric Surgery at Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital is a key specialty of Gansu Province and one of the earliest specialized departments in China dedicated exclusively to gastric disorders. In recent years, the department has developed distinctive technical strengths in robot‑assisted radical gastrectomy and laparoscopic function‑preserving gastrectomy. Leveraging the globally unique heavy ion therapy platform, the hospital has established a collaborative dual‑center development framework between Wuwei and Lanzhou. To date, the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center has treated more than 3,000 cancer patients.
