--Pei Zhengxue Symposium & Integrated Cancer Care Conference Held at Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital

On August 1, the "Symposium on Professor Pei Zhengxue's Academic Thought, Advanced Training Course on New Progress in Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Cancer Treatment, and Annual Academic Meeting of the Tumor Professional Committee of the Wuwei Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine," under the theme "Carrying Forward the Pei Legacy in TCM, Integrating Chinese and Western Approaches to Combat Cancer," was successfully held at Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Li Yinghong, Director of the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine at Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital. Professor Zhang Guiqiong from Gansu Cancer Hospital spoke on "Reflections on Professor Pei Zhengxue's Academic Thought on 'Strengthening the Body's Vital Energy and Immunity,'" discussing the clinical value of TCM in regulating immunity in cancer patients. Professor Zhang Xueliang from Gansu Cancer Hospital presented "Key Updates in the 2026 CSCO Guidelines for Primary Driver Gene‑Positive Non‑Small Cell Lung Cancer," interpreting the latest guideline changes and integrating TCM strategies into targeted therapy protocols. In recent years, the hospital has developed and introduced 25 new TCM formulations for clinical use, including “Fuzheng Guben Granules” and “Rukang Capsules,” filling a gap in hospital‑based and municipal‑level TCM preparations in Wuwei.
