Comrade Ye Yancheng, president of the Cancer Hospital of Wuwei Academy of Medical Sciences in Gansu Province, made a theme report on "Clinical application and practice of domestic carbon ion therapy system".

Professor Wang Junjie pointed out in his speech that radiation therapy has completely entered the era of precision and precision, and the treatment of many tumors has fully reached and exceeded surgical ablation, and heavy ions play a very important role in radiation therapy because of their unique physical and biological effects. Since the first Chinese heavy ion system was opened in Wuwei, Gansu Province, it has completed the treatment of more than 1020 heavy ion patients from Beijing, Shanghai, Macao, Taiwan, Hong Kong and all over the country, and has achieved gratilable stage results. With the efforts of the Wuwei Heavy Ion team, Wuwei Heavy Ion Center has established a complete system for the popularization and promotion of China's big science devices, forming a benchmark for the landing of China's big science devices.

He said that the Radiation Oncology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association has always been concerned about and supported the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center project, and Professor Shen Wenjiang, Professor Li Gaofeng, Professor Qu Baolin and other professors have been to Wuwei Heavy Ion Center for many times to guide the work, free patient treatment, technical assistance, popularization and promotion, and have made positive contributions to the clinical standardization and standardized application of this technology. It is hoped that the national radiation therapy colleagues will continue to strengthen the in-depth cooperation with Gansu Wuwei Heavy Ion Center, carry out clinical application research related to heavy ions, and promote this advanced tumor treatment technology to the whole country and even the world.



Since the Wuwei Heavy Ion Center was officially put into operation on March 26, 2020, it has completed heavy ion treatment for more than 1020 patients from Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong and all over the country, and the patients who have completed treatment have significant curative effect and good tolerance. There are more than 50 kinds of diseases such as lung cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer and brain glioma.

In the treatment process, Wuwei Heavy Ion Center has also carried out a number of world's first technologies, such as high-frequency oscillation breathing control heavy ion precision treatment technology, surgical isolation pad between organs and cancer to complete a single heavy ion treatment and other new technologies.

At the same time of the clinical application of heavy ion therapy technology, Wuwei Heavy Ion Center has fully implemented the transformation of medical model and adopted the "biological, social and psychological" medical model. To build a comprehensive and life-cycle tumor treatment system featuring heavy ion therapy, surgical treatment, traditional Chinese medicine therapy, biological immune cell therapy, rehabilitation therapy, cultural and pastoral therapy.

    Over the years, Wuwei Heavy Ion Center has hired internationally renowned heavy ion experts such as Professor Hirohiko Tsujii of Japan, Professor Tataki Kanai and Professor Haufei of Germany to carry out clinical work regularly in Wuwei. At the same time, more than 500 backbone professional and technical personnel of the hospital have been trained in famous medical centers in Germany, the United States, Japan and China. At present, a precision radiotherapy demonstration base has been established on both sides of Longtai.

It is understood that in order to effectively solve the problem of medical costs, provide financial security for the masses of people to prevent cancer, and prevent the occurrence of poverty due to disease, Wuwei Heavy Ion Center and China Life insurance and other insurance companies jointly launched the "million medical + heavy ion medical green channel" project.
