Renowned Physician Drives Development with Advanced Technology Benefiting Patients--Professor Yin Chunzhu from Jilin Provincial Cancer Hospital Visits Our Department for Learning Lecture and Technical Exchange
Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital’s Minimally Invasive Cancer Treatment Center Welcomes Another Piece of Good News—Renowned Chinese cancer treatment expert, Professor Yin Chunzhu from Jilin Provincial Cancer Hospital, was invited to visit our department to conduct academic lectures and provide technical guidance. This is another in-depth practice of our department’s philosophy of "Starting with Standardization, Strict in Quality Control, Benefiting Patients," and an important initiative to enhance the level of regional cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Expert’s Visit and Generous Sharing Promote Technical Advancement
On the morning of August 21, Professor Yin Chunzhu from Jilin Provincial Cancer Hospital, despite travel fatigue, came to our department early in the morning for an academic lecture and teaching ward rounds. During the ward rounds, Professor Yin provided in-depth yet simple analysis of complex cases, sharing invaluable insights from his over thirty years of experience—from diagnostic thoughts to treatment plans, technical details to complication management—without reservation.

Professor Yin delivered a special lecture titled "Basic Principles and Standardized Operations of Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC)." Our medical staff attentively listened to this academic feast. Professor Yin systematically explained the latest advancements and application experiences in hyperthermic perfusion therapy, covering basic theories to clinical practices, key technical operation points to difficult question management.
After the lecture and ward rounds, Professor Yin Chunzhu went to the operating room to personally guide and demonstrate hyperthermic perfusion therapy operations for a patient with peritoneal metastasis of pancreatic cancer who had traveled from afar. From equipment preparation to drug formulation, temperature control to perfusion process, every step was meticulously guided. "The fixation of this pipeline needs to be more secure to avoid displacement during the procedure," Professor Yin pointed out while observing the operation, highlighting details that needed improvement. Under Professor Yin’s guidance, our medical staff gained a deeper understanding of the standard operational procedures for hyperthermic perfusion therapy. "Many of the details Professor Yin pointed out were aspects we often overlooked. This guidance has given us a new perspective on standardized operations."

Professor Yin placed special emphasis on quality control work. "Quality control is the lifeline of hyperthermic perfusion therapy," Professor Yin stated. Only by strictly managing every step can patient safety and treatment efficacy be ensured. Based on Professor Yin’s suggestions, our department further improved the quality control standards for hyperthermic perfusion therapy:
- Enhanced drug concentration monitoring system
- Established post-treatment efficacy evaluation system
- Strengthened emergency plans for adverse events
Professor Yin’s guidance not only elevated our department’s technical level but, more importantly, helped us establish a more comprehensive diagnosis and treatment standard and quality control system. This will benefit more patients. We will continue to uphold the treatment philosophy of "Starting with Standardization, Strict in Quality Control, Benefiting Patients." Through the mentorship of top domestic experts, our department’s hyperthermic perfusion therapy technology will become more standardized and precise, better serving the broad population of cancer patients.
