The Dongli Pastoral Therapy Area is located on the east side of the Heavy Ion Center, featuring a fruit-picking orchard, vegetable cultivation zone, greenhouse planting area, and a fishing pond. The fruit-picking orchard has over 1,000 fruit trees of various varieties, available for patients and staff to harvest. The vegetable cultivation zone grows tomatoes, celery, chili peppers, eggplants, broccoli, radishes, and sunflowers. The greenhouse produces strawberries in winter for patients to pick during their leisure time. The fishing pond is open to fishing enthusiasts free of charge. This therapy area allows patients to reconnect with nature amidst blooming flowers and open fields, engaging in planting and harvesting activities to improve physical fitness and boost their immune system while leaving behind painful and fearful memories. Patients can also freely collect fresh produce, immersing themselves in traditional agrarian life and culture. Through their own labor, they can enjoy organic food, spending a carefree day in a relaxing atmosphere, forgetting the nightmares of illness, and returning to a peaceful and serene state of mind.

The newly launched "Guardian Ion"  charitable cultural and creative products consist of three categories totaling eight items: ice silk chemotherapy caps, cultural T-shirts, plush toys, and power banks featuring the "Guardian Ion"  logo; a custom-designed walking stick with the engraved with "Resilience & Vitality; as well as customized "Guardian Ion" cervical health pillows, sleep aid pillows, and herbal sachets. The hospital plans to continuously update various charitable products in the future. All released products will be displayed in the Heavy Ion Cultural Corridor exhibition area and sold to hospital staff, visiting delegations, and patient-family members. The proceeds from these charitable cultural products will be entirely allocated to fund heavy ion treatment for underprivileged patients.

The integration of pastoral therapy and cultural therapy represents the most crucial component of Wuwei Academy of Medical and Science Cancer Hospital's decade-long pioneering exploration and systematic development of a comprehensive cancer care continuum for cancer patients. This innovative model embodies the full implementation of the biopsychosocial medical paradigm. The inauguration of the Dongli Pastoral Therapy Area and the launch of the "Guardian Ion"  charitable cultural products mark significant steps in executing this holistic health management system, which will undoubtedly advance the construction of a Healthy Wuwei initiative.
