To further promote the integration of nursing discipline development with clinical practice and cultivate scientific research innovation awareness among nursing staff, thereby delivering higher-quality, more efficient, and more convenient nursing services, the 10th Nursing Innovation Competition was held on April 27, 2025, at Heavy Ion Conference Room 1 Organized by the hospital's Nursing Department under the theme "Innovation-Driven Care, Technology-Empowered Health," the event aimed to foster cutting-edge advancements in nursing work.

The judges for this competition include: Ren Baolong, Chairman of the Labor Union, Su Anping, Assistant to the President, Zhang Zhenshuai, Assistant to the President, An Deying, Director of General Internal Medicine Department, Chen Dongji, Director of Radiotherapy Department, Jin Wenjun, Director of Outpatient Department, Guo Yumei, Director of Nursing Department. In this competition, presenters from each nursing station will deliver reports in the order determined by drawing lots. Judges will comprehensively score the presentations based on the "Nursing Innovation Competition Scoring Sheet" across four dimensions: innovation, practicality, scientific validity, and safety. The host will announce the scores on-site after all presentations are completed.

The competition consisted of two stages: preliminary and final rounds. The preliminary round was organized by four major departments—General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Radiation/Chemotherapy, and Special Units. Through rigorous evaluation, each department selected five outstanding projects, advancing a total of 20 entries to the finals. The competing projects spanned three key areas: technological innovation, service innovation, and management innovation, addressing clinical challenges such as medical device optimization and patient experience enhancement.

During the final round, participating teams showcased their projects through 3-minute timed presentations, live demonstrations, and dynamic video analyses, vividly illustrating the research background, technical breakthroughs, and clinical value of their innovations. These presentations fully demonstrated the nursing teams' creative ingenuity and practical achievements, offering multi-faceted solutions to longstanding difficulties and pain points in clinical nursing practice.

Following the competition, the judges provided insightful commentary on the participating projects, offering high praise for this year's entries. They noted that the works fully demonstrated the nursing staff's ​​proactive spirit​​—identifying and solving real clinical problems through practical approaches. The judges emphasized that ​​nursing innovation​​ represents not only ​​technical advancement​​ but also a ​​transformation in service philosophy​​. They expressed hope that these innovative solutions could be ​​quickly translated into clinical applications​​ to benefit more patients. Ren Baolong​​, Chairman of the Labor Union, remarked: "Innovation knows no end." He stressed the importance of ​​continuous iteration​​ based on existing achievements and ​​ongoing refinement​​ through experience.

The Director of the Nursing Department emphasized in her concluding remarks that since the inception of the Nursing Innovation Competition, our hospital has witnessed a continuous expansion in the variety and quality of innovative projects, marking the remarkable progress and growth of our nursing teams. She stated that this competition represents a significant initiative by the hospital to advance high-quality development in nursing. Moving forward, the hospital will continue to build innovation platforms to facilitate the translation of research achievements into clinical practice. She called upon all nursing staff to "promote learning through competition and apply knowledge through learning," thereby injecting new momentum into the hospital's development.

​​The 10th Nursing Innovation Competition successfully concluded with the host announcing the final results on-site.​​ The winning projects were: ​​First Place​​: "Breathable Guardian – Smart Care Solution" (Radiotherapy Department I Nursing Station), ​​Second Place​​: "Steady Traction – We're in Action" (Bone & Soft Tissue Department Nursing Station), ​​Third Place​​: "Wheelchair O₂-Keeper – A Wheelchair-Mounted Oxygen Tank Stabilizer" (Respiratory Medicine II Department).
