The delegation first observed the hospital's interdisciplinary academic morning meeting organized by the Department of Pain Medicine. Director Zhang Depeng from the Department of Pain Medicine delivered a lecture titled "Application of PCA in Cancer Pain Management." Director Hu Tingchao from the Second Department of the Radiotherapy Center introduced the department's discipline development, clinical applications of heavy ion therapy, and multidisciplinary collaboration operating model. The two sides engaged in in‑depth discussions on topics including heavy ion tumor therapy, cancer pain management for oncology patients, management of complex cases, and departmental operations management — sharing practical clinical experience, jointly analyzing specialty development challenges, and exchanging ideas on discipline development.

In addition, the delegation toured the heavy ion campus, visiting supporting areas including the artificial ecological lake and the Dongli picking garden, experiencing the hospital's development philosophy of coordinating medical quality improvement with humanistic environment development.

He highlighted the department's distinctive work in hospice care specialty development, physical and mental care for end‑stage patients, and psychological support for family members, and led the delegation on a tour of the hospice care ward. During the discussion session, core members of the Department of Pain Medicine answered questions one by one regarding practical issues such as pain specialty operations management, PCA clinical practice standards, implementation of hospice care, and refined departmental management — sharing clinical practice and departmental development experience without reservation, creating a pragmatic and vibrant atmosphere of discussion.
