February 23, 2025 – The inauguration ceremony of the Pei Zhengxue Distinguished Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Professional Committee under the Physicians Branch of Gansu Provincial Senior Scientists & Technologists Association was grandly held at the Pei Zhengxue Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute.

Chief Physician Li Yinghong from our hospital was elected as Deputy Director of the committee. The following experts were appointed as committee members: Chen Yuxia, Wang Pei, Li Zhenqing, Hao Wenjie, Zhang Yujie, Tian Haishan, Ma Ruiqing, Li Xia, and Zhang Jing.

Department Introduction

The Department of Integrative Medicine at Gansu Province Wuwei Tumor Hospital is a municipal key specialty of traditional Chinese medicine in Wuwei City. It serves as the inheritance base for the academic ideas of the renowned Chinese expert in integrative medicine and national famous old traditional Chinese medicine expert, Professor Pei Zhengxue. It is also a first - class clinical department in our hospital that integrates clinical practice, teaching, and scientific research.

The academic leader of the department, Li Yinghong, is a Master of Medicine, Chief Physician, Longyuan Talent of Gansu Province, a famous traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in Wuwei City, and a personal disciple of the renowned Chinese expert in integrative medicine and national famous old traditional Chinese medicine expert, Professor Pei Zhengxue. In clinical diagnosis and treatment, the department widely promotes and applies Professor Pei Zhengxue's sixteen-character policy of "Western medicine diagnosis, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation, Chinese medicine as the main treatment, and Western medicine as a supplementary treatment." It focuses on the integrated treatment of tumors, rheumatic immune diseases, spleen and stomach diseases, skin diseases, respiratory system diseases, cardiovascular diseases, endocrine and metabolic diseases, urinary system diseases, and neck, shoulder, waist, and leg pain.

The department offers a variety of traditional Chinese medicine-appropriate technology projects, including acupuncture, electroacupuncture, paraffin, therapy, moxibustion, spread moxibustion, moxibustion with an interval, Chinese medicine fumigation and washing, cupping, gua sha, deep heat therapy, cervical and lumbar traction, massage, acupoint embedding, acupoint application, acupoint injection, ear tip bloodletting, auricular point pressure with beans, blockage therapy, foot bath, blood-letting therapy, Sanfu plaster, and Sanjiu plaster therapy.
