China · Lanzhou-Singapore Joint Online Pei Zhengxue Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinical Training Program Commences at Our Hospital
On September 14, the opening ceremony of the China · Lanzhou-Singapore Joint Online Pei Zhengxue Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinical Training Program was successfully held at the Lanzhou Heavy Ion Center of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital.

This training program was hosted by the Lanzhou Pei Zhengxue Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute and co-organized by the Gansu Provincial Association of Senior Scientists and Technicians (Medical Doctor Branch) and Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital. It aims to promote the inheritance and innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), enhance international TCM exchanges between China and Singapore, improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment skills of Singaporean TCM practitioners, and encourage the clinical application of standardized TCM formula granules.
The opening ceremony was conducted simultaneously online and offline, with venues set up in both Lanzhou and Singapore. Attendees included leaders and distinguished guests such as Liu Borong, Director of the Gansu Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine; An Ping, President of the Gansu Provincial Association of Senior Scientists and Technicians; Li Cunwen, President of the Gansu Medical and Health Industry Development Association; as well as Chen Xiumeng, President of the Singapore Chinese Medicine Promotion Association; Li Xusheng, President of the Singapore Medical Association; and Cai Qinghua, Vice President of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital. Notable participants also included Professor Pei Zhengxue, a renowned veteran TCM expert from Gansu; Song Jian, President of the Lanzhou Pei Zhengxue Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute; and Liang Jing, Chairman of Singapore Herbal Fashion Private Limited.

Professor Pei Zhengxue comes from a family of Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners and possesses a profound background in both Chinese and Western medicine. Through long-term clinical practice, he has gradually developed his own unique academic thought system and medical experience. Now at the age of 87, he continues to dedicate himself diligently to the front lines of medical treatment, education, and research. During the opening ceremony, Professor Pei's lecture focused on the essence of his academic philosophy—the 16-character principle for integrating Chinese and Western medicine: "Western medicine diagnosis, TCM syndrome differentiation, TCM as the primary treatment, Western medicine as supplementary." His presentation was insightful and easy to understand, bridging Chinese and Western medical knowledge, and provided trainees with an accessible gateway to deeply understand TCM theory.
In recent years, the Heavy Ion Center at Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital has continuously innovated in clinical applications, introducing several world-first technologies. It fully implements the "biological, social, psychological" medical model, provides comprehensive, whole-life-cycle health management, and actively explores a Chinese approach to treating tumors by combining heavy ion therapy with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Additionally, the Heavy Ion Center at Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital has established the "Professor Pei Zhengxue Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Clinical Inheritance Base," which deeply integrates precise heavy ion therapy with Traditional Chinese Medicine, developing a new model for tumor treatment and contributing Chinese wisdom to global cancer therapy.

The successful launch of this training program has not only established a high-level learning and exchange platform for TCM practitioners from China and Singapore but has also injected new vitality into the international dissemination and innovative development of TCM culture. As one of the organizing units, Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital will continue to support the inheritance of TCM and international cooperation, contributing to the high-quality development of TCM.
