"Mother's River Cancer Prevention" Experts Visit Tianshui First People's Hospital
"Mother's River · Cancer Prevention Public Welfare Project – Expert Grassroots Tour (Tianshui Stop)" Successfully Held at Tianshui First People's Hospital
In response to the national initiative of promoting high-quality medical resource integration and enhancing grassroots cancer prevention capabilities, and to further advance high-quality development of Gansu Wuwei Cancer Hospital, the "Mother River·Cancer Prevention Public Welfare Project—Expert Grassroots Outreach Activity (Tianshui Station)", hosted by the Bethune Public Welfare Foundation, was held on June 13th at Tianshui First People's Hospital. The event gathered numerous renowned oncology experts from within and outside Gansu Province, delivering high-quality, accessible, and efficient healthcare services to local patients and medical professionals through academic lectures, large-scale free clinics, and other activities.

Wang Junjie, Chairman of the Radiotherapy Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Director of the Radiotherapy Committee of the Bethune Public Welfare Foundation, Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Peking University Third Hospital, and President of Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital; Qi Ying, Deputy Director of Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital; Professor Du Lanning from the First Hospital of Lanzhou University; Zhao Fengju, Director of the Second Radiotherapy Department (Gynecological Tumors) at Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital; Zhang Yingdong, Director of the Third Radiotherapy Department at Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital; Chen Yu, Director of the Third Radiotherapy Department (Minimally Invasive Intervention) at Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital; Professor Qu Ang and Professor Ji Zhe from Peking University Third Hospital; leaders from the Tianshui Municipal Health Commission; members of the leadership team at Tianshui First People's Hospital; leaders from various grassroots hospitals; and medical professionals attended the event.

The academic lecture session was co-moderated by Qi Ying, Deputy Director of Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital, and Professor Du Lanning from the First Hospital of Lanzhou University. Expert presentations were delivered by Professor Wang Junjie, Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Peking University Third Hospital and President of Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital, who discussed "The Path to High-Quality Development in China's Radiation Oncology"; Professor Zhang Yingdong from Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital, who presented on "Radiotherapy Standards for High-Grade Gliomas and Case Studies of Heavy Ion Therapy"; Professor Chen Yu from Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital, who introduced "Clinical Applications of CT-Guided Needle Biopsy"; Professor Zhao Fengju from Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital, who explored "Comprehensive Treatment Approaches for Cervical Cancer"; Professor Zhang Yingdong, who also addressed "Combined Deep Hyperthermia and Radiotherapy for Locally Advanced Cervical Cancer"; Professor Qu Ang from Peking University Third Hospital, who shared insights on "Stereotactic Radiosurgery in Lung Cancer Treatment"; Professor Ji Zhe from Peking University Third Hospital, who introduced "Project 'Mother River': An Initiative for Cancer Prevention"; and Professor Yin Le from the Bethune Public Welfare Foundation, who concluded with a special presentation. The lectures featured in-depth yet accessible discussions on these hot topics, integrating practical case analyses to deliver rich and clinically relevant content. Throughout the session, participants actively engaged with the experts through vigorous Q&A interactions, creating a dynamic and vibrant academic atmosphere.










At the free clinic, tumor prevention and treatment experts provided complimentary consultations and medical services for patients who came from afar. The experts attentively listened to each patient's concerns, carefully reviewed their medical records, patiently answered questions, and formulated personalized treatment plans based on individual conditions.









Professor Wang Junjie led a team of experts to conduct an in-depth exchange symposium at Tianshui First People's Hospital, aiming to enhance the quality of medical services and improve patients' healthcare experience through this collaborative discussion.
