Sometimes, a single puncture isn't enough, and your doctor may need to sample from multiple sites. It's also important that the procedure is performed by an experienced hematologist, especially when the sternum (breastbone) is chosen as the puncture site.

- Radiation therapy (RT) — precisely targeted to affected areas.
