The winter wind sweeps across the Tianzhu grassland, but warmth fills the hearts of villagers in Bianpougou Village, Dongdatan Township, Tianzhu County. On December 3, Comrade Zhang Weihong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Gansu Wuwei Tumor Hospital, led a team of Party members and cadres from the hospital’s First Administrative Party Branch to the assistance point—Bianpougou Village. Together with the Party branch of Bianpougou Village, they carried out the Party Day activity with the theme "Party Building Fosters Cohesion, Health Assistance Warms Hearts," practicing their original aspirations and missions through concrete actions, and delivering the Party’s care and health services to the people

Discussion for Development, Consensus for Joint Building

At the beginning of the activity, Secretary Zhang Weihong and her team gathered with township cadres, stationed cadres, village "two committees" members, and villager representatives at the village Party-mass service center for a joint learning and building symposium. During the meeting, Comrade Zhang Weihong communicated with township cadres about assistance work. Li Gamei (Tibetan), Secretary of the Party branch of Bianpougou Village, detailed the village’s basic situation: In recent years, Bianpougou Village has adopted the development approach of "integrating grassland and livestock," promoting specialty planting and breeding through the "Party branch + cooperative + farmers" model. However, among the nine permanent resident households, there are still some households that have been lifted out of poverty, monitored households, and disabled individuals, facing practical difficulties such as inconvenient access to medical care and medication.

Secretary Zhang Weihong engaged in in-depth discussions with attendees, leveraging the hospital’s Party building efforts and medical advantages. She emphasized that the hospital always regards assistance work as an important political task. This joint learning and building activity is not only a practical implementation of the "branch pairing with branch" mechanism but also a concrete measure to deepen the integration of urban and rural Party building and promote rural revitalization. Home Visits to Understand People’s Conditions, Delivering Medicine to Warm Hearts and Alleviate Worries

After the symposium, accompanied by members of the village "two committees," Secretary Zhang Weihong led Party members and cadres to visit and comfort households in difficulty in Bianpougou Village. At each household, Party members and cadres chatted with villagers face-to-face, heart-to-heart, inquiring in detail about the elderly’s health conditions, living expenses, and practical difficulties, and carefully recording their needs regarding medical care and medication.

Learning that some villagers were raising Zihu pigs (a local breed) by leveraging the local ecological advantages, Secretary Zhang Weihong specially visited the breeding pens. "How many pigs are you raising now? What is the breeding cycle? Is there a stable market?" she asked while observing the growth of the Zihu pigs, learning in detail about the breeding scale, costs, profits, and challenges in industrial development. She suggested, leveraging the hospital’s resources: "We can help promote the village’s agricultural products in the future, making specialty breeding a stable support for increasing income and prosperity".

Given that most permanent residents in Bianpougou Village are elderly, some suffering from chronic diseases, the hospital prepared commonly used medicines and medications for chronic diseases. In the homes of disabled individuals, Comrade Zhang Weihong provided them with appropriate medications, explaining in detail the dosage, administration methods, and daily health precautions, and urging them to take medication on time and monitor their health regularly.

This home visit not only delivered medicines worth thousands of yuan to the villagers but also conveyed the hospital’s deep care for the grassroots. It effectively addressed the urgent difficulties of "difficult access to medical care and medication" in remote villages, allowing the people to enjoy high-quality and convenient medical services at their doorsteps.

Party Building Demonstrates Responsibility, Assistance and Joint Building Write a New Chapter

This Party Day activity for joint learning and building deeply integrated institutional Party building with grassroots governance, moving the "office" for serving the people to the fields and villagers’ homes.
